“I couldn’t wait for my turn to paint!” Remembering saying to herself when she was in the second grade, as she looked over to the blank sheet of paper sitting on classroom easel.

Laura was born in San Jose, California. She received her BFA from Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah – 2014. Laura also studied at the Bridge of Academy of Art in Provo, Utah as well as attending San Jose City College, in San Jose, CA.

Her art piece, Compadres, was acquired by Utah Division of Arts & Museums for their collection. Although, her piece The Supper, wasn’t accepted for the final jury for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 11th International Art Competition it was accepted for the first round of jury.

Laura’s paintings have been exhibited in-group exhibitions in galleries & museums including but not limited, Rio Grande Gallery, Sears Gallery–Dixie State University in St. George, UT, Woodbury Art Museum in Orem, UT, and Arte Américas-Casa de la Cultura in Fresno, CA.

I start with an image/idea in my minds eye. At the end of the art piece, it becomes something else…better!
